Week 01 – 02

Daily Vitamin CE Ferulic in the morning under SPF — non-negotiable. Lightening Cream introduced at night, every other day. Sun avoidance more important than any active.

Activation
II

Week 03 – 04

Nightly Lightening Cream on target spots. Surface tone begins to even. Tranexamic acid reduces melanocyte over-activity; alpha-arbutin slows melanin synthesis at source.

Fade
III

Week 05 – 08

Visible reduction in dark spots and post-acne marks. Melasma patches softening at the edges. Continue strict SPF discipline; UV will undo weeks of progress in days.

Even Tone
IV

Week 09 – 12

Substantial evenness across the complexion. Pigmentation visibly faded. Continue the routine to maintain — pigmentation returns if discipline and SPF lapse.

Things patients ask before they order.

Will my whole complexion get lighter, or only the dark spots?

The Even Tone Protocol is designed to target areas of hyperpigmentation — melasma patches, post-acne marks, sun spots — and bring them back to your natural baseline tone. It is not a bleaching protocol; you will not get lighter than your innate complexion. Tranexamic acid and alpha-arbutin work specifically on over-active melanocytes in spots, not on resting skin.

How important is sunscreen, really, with this routine?

It is the single most important variable. Pigmentation is fundamentally a photo-response; without daily, properly-applied SPF 50, you will undo two weeks of clinical fade in one weekend of unprotected sun. Reapply every two hours outdoors. The Barrier Restore SPF is broad-spectrum and non-comedogenic — there is no excuse to skip it.

I'm already on a prescription cream — hydroquinone or tretinoin. Can I combine?

If you're on hydroquinone or topical retinoids, please consult Dr. Ahmad's team before ordering. The protocol is designed as a standalone regimen — combining with hydroquinone in particular requires careful staggering, and prolonged hydroquinone use carries its own risks (ochronosis) that we'll help you assess. The consultation is complimentary and included with the bundle.

Is this safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Tranexamic acid topically is generally considered low-risk in pregnancy, but we recommend consulting your obstetrician. The Vit C Ferulic, Prep Cleanser, and Barrier SPF are pregnancy-safe. Book the free consultation on order and Dr. Ahmad's team will prescribe a pregnancy-appropriate variant.
